Mary Adams Mary Adams

Mary has a BA in History from Salem State College and has been a history teacher for 20 years. She has participated in the Close Up Program in Washington DC. As an 8th grade teacher Mary has coordinated numerous field trips to Washington DC. Prior to teaching in the Everett Public School system, she taught in Dorchester and Malden, and also worked at a law firm specializing in medical malpractice. Mary was chosen to be a member of Who’s Who of American Teachers by former students on three occasions, 1994, 1996 and 1998.

Marena Cernigliaro Marena Cernigliaro

Born and raised in the Boston area, Marena has always been fascinated by early American History. In ninth grade, influenced by her wonderful history teacher, she decided that she would herself become a teacher. Marena attended Framingham State College where she majored in History with minors in Secondary Education and Spanish.  Employed by the city of Everett as an eighth grade teacher for the past three years, Marena teaches five sections of early American History encompassing the Explorers to the Constitutional Period.


Tara McCarthy Tara McCarthy

Tara, a lifelong Everett resident, is in her ninth year teaching in the Everett Public Schools. She currently teaches fifth grade at the Lafayette School specializing in social studies and has also taught sixth grade. Tara has loved teaching so far and looks forward to the many years ahead!


John Westwater John Westwater

John received his BA from UMass Amherst. He is a long time educator in both public and catholic schools in the Boston area. John currently teaches grade 8 history at he Parlin School in Everett. A native of Boston, John is always happy to see many people visit the Boston area to explore its extraordinary history.


Felicia Wettstone Felicia Wettstone

Felicia has taught third grade in at the Lafayette School in Everett for the past six years. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Westfield State College and recently earned a Master's of Education in Reading from Salem State College. Felicia is currently licensed as both a Reading Specialist and Elementary Teacher. Married for four years to her husband Jonathan, she enjoys spending time with her family and two-year old daughter!
