Lessons

These four lessons investigate the experiences that Irish immigrants encountered in the Boston-area in the period of 1840-1860. Students will learn how the native population reacted as throngs of Irish descended on Boston. They will also have the opportunity to look at the Irish perspective of their new homes and the discrimination they were often faced with.
